Pay: $18.50/hr
Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday (some Saturdays)
About the RoleWe’re hiring a Forklift Operator to support recycling operations inside a manufacturing facility. This is not a 100 percent forklift position
. You’ll split your time between operating a forklift and working alongside material handlers to sort and move recyclable packaging materials such as cardboard, plastics, and mixed recyclables. Work will take place both indoors and outdoors.
- Operate a forklift indoors and outdoors to collect, move, and stage recyclable materials
- Spend part of your shift off the forklift assisting with sorting and handling materials
- Support recycling workflow within the facility
- Follow all safety rules and equipment procedures
- Perform basic forklift inspections
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Work in non-climate-controlled areas when needed
- Proven forklift experience (must pass written assessment)
- Willingness to get off the forklift and help on the floor as needed
Ability to handle and sort recyclable materials - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to safety and detail
Good communication and teamwork skills - Experience in manufacturing or recycling is a plus
