American Traveler is hiring an RN Assessment Specialist for a Behavioral Health Intake unit requiring an IN or compact RN license and 2+ years of experience.

• Behavioral Health Intake unit within an Assessment department with 5 assessment rooms
• Adult and adolescent patient population presenting for psychiatric and substance use assessment
• Monday through Friday schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Every other weekend or as‑needed weekend hours
• No call requirements and no floating requirements
• Uses Meditech EHR along with Adobe and Microsoft Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel)

• Active RN license in Indiana or compact license required
• BLS and HWC certifications required
• 2+ years of RN experience required
• Skilled in patient assessment and evaluation
• Preferred experience in triage, psychiatric, or ER settings
• Strong multitasking, teamwork, and interpersonal skills

• Conduct psychiatric and substance use assessments and evaluations for adult and adolescent patients
• Work closely with the Director of Assessment and assessment team
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Business casual attire required outside of designated scrubs
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Previous perm staff employment at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months is not eligible
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
