We are looking for a dynamic, organized self‑starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) as an EHS Manager in Lafayette, IN.

Job Summary
  • This EHS Manager will provide leadership, mentoring and direction to hourly, salaried and management personnel engaged in Environmental, Health, and/or Safety (EHS) activities related to a small facility or one discipline at a medium to large facility.
Additional Information
  • Primarily based in Lafayette, IN with periodic travel to Lebanon, IN.
  • Domestic relocation assistance:
    None.
  • 1st shift.
  • 100% on‑site with no hybrid or remote options.
  • Up to 15% domestic travel.
What You Will Do
  • Identify common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establish guidelines for protection.
  • Ensure EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or support facility, division, or enterprise objectives.
  • Audit safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and local adequacy.
  • Monitor performance reports for trends and conditions and alert line management to problems.
  • Lead and develop EHS professionals, coordinators, technicians, trainers, and support personnel.
  • Establish clear expectations and accountability.
  • Support succession planning and talent development.
  • Foster collaboration across departments.
  • Influence safety culture through coaching, mentoring, and engagement.
What You Have (Required Skills)
  • Knowledge of EHS policies and ability to implement them to ensure product and service safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Self‑management skills to handle multiple concurrent objectives and prioritize effectively.
  • Command of influencing tactics and strategies.
  • Effective communication skills for transmitting, receiving, and interpreting ideas and information.
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills)
  • Certifications:

    CSP, OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainer, CHMM, CIH, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
  • OSHA 30‑40 hour course completed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or related environments.
  • 3+ years leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT and environmental regulations.
  • Experience with incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and EHS program implementation.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Sustainability and environmental reporting experience.
  • Experience in warehousing, logistics, or Caterpillar operations.
  • Experience managing multi‑site EHS programs.
  • Knowledge of behavior‑based safety systems.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent walking in manufacturing and warehouse environments.
  • Ability to wear required PPE.
  • Occasional lifting up to 35 pounds.
  • Work in varying environmental conditions.
  • Respond to emergency situations when required.

Summary Pay Range

$89,210.00 - $
