In this role, you will work directly with customers, internal teams, and engineering to ensure effective warranty management, accurate parts evaluation, and timely adjudication of part disposition. You will apply strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills to uphold warranty agreements and drive continuous improvement across quality and warranty processes.
What you can look forward to as Quality Lab Technician- Communicate professionally with customers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate timely claim resolution.
- Maintain detailed records of customer returns and ensure all returned parts are properly logged, evaluated, and routed for engineering review.
- Partner with Receiving, Accounting, Customer Care, and the Warranty Manager on the receipt and processing of returned parts to support accurate payment, credit, or recovery activities.
- Perform parts evaluation, documenting findings clearly and preparing reports for Engineering to support root‑cause analysis, warranty validation, and final part disposition decisions.
- Support Engineering throughout the warranty evaluation cycle by providing data, physical part assessment results, and timely updates to enable quick and accurate disposition decisions.
- Collaborate closely with warranty administrative support to maintain consistent throughput of claims within customer‑defined timelines.
- Apply continuous‑improvement mindset and methodologies to streamline processes, improve data integrity, and enhance overall warranty/quality performance.
- Minimum of six years of parts evaluation, data processing, and reporting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with warranty and quality processes preferred; general accounting experience is beneficial.
- Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word required.
- Knowledge of MiniTAB and MS Access is a plus.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and SAP is a plus.
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external customers.
- Basic understanding of the 8D problem‑solving process is a plus.
- Strong desire for and knowledge of continuous improvement practices.
