Mobile Associate, Store-in-Store - Retail Sales (Lafayette, IN) Job Overview
Mobile Associates are integral members of the Retail Team responsible for bringing the T‑Mobile brand to life within National Sales partner locations. They create energy and excitement around our products and services, building and deepening relationships with customers through meaningful interactions and solution‑based selling.
Job Responsibilities- Proactively engage a broad range of customers in a high‑traffic retail environment, using digital tools to educate and showcase the value of T‑Mobile solutions.
- Leverage digital self‑serve tools during customer interactions, identifying needs and employing solution‑based selling to demonstrate T‑Mobile products and services.
- Complete training on the in‑store experience, new skills, products and processes; maintain knowledge of systems and reference resources; review personal results and current promotions.
- Partner with nearby store locations to onboard customers, practicing skills, sharing knowledge, and performing opening/closing procedures, including handling kiosk keys and reporting lost keys or assets.
- Exhibit customer obsession: friendly, engaging, building rapport and trust; exceed expectations; proactively reach out to potential customers, follow up, capture referrals, manage return‑processes, and perform price overrides for specialty offers.
- Build relationships with nearby leadership and teams to support the customer experience from account set‑up to device support and account servicing.
- High School Diploma/GED (Required)
- 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience, retail environment preferred
- Customer satisfaction passion; desire to be authentic when connecting with customers; balance experience and performance goals (Required)
- Team building; willingness to collaborate with peers and store leaders, sharing best practices and resolving issues (Required)
- Retail sales drive; confidence to succeed in a fast‑paced sales environment (Required)
- At least 18 years of age

Hourly Base Pay: $18.00/hour, plus $5.00 per hour training pay. Within the first 90 days, Mobile Associates receive training pay and are eligible for promotion to Mobile Expert with an annualized incentive target of $18,000/year. All employees start with guaranteed earnings of $20/hour inclusive of base pay and incentives.
