Grocery Team Leader (Key Holder)

Pay: $18+/hour (based on experience)

The Grocery Team Leader is responsible for opening and closing the store, managing daily operations, maintaining inventory, ensuring quality standards, and developing the sales team. This role requires strong customer service skills, operational knowledge, and leadership ability.

• Open and close the store, ensuring all operations are completed correctly.
• Assist in daily store operations and tasks for the day.
• Unload merchandise from delivery trucks, organize items, and transfer goods from stockroom to store.
• Maintain merchandise through product rotation, proper food handling, and quality checks.
• Provide exceptional customer service, building relationships and solving problems.
• Handle cash operations, including bank deposits, giving change for cashiers, and balancing registers.
• Support team development by coaching and training sales associates.
• Supervise associates’ performance and assist in their daily duties.

• 1‑2 years of retail experience with progressively increasing responsibility.
• Valid driver’s license strongly preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and lift items above shoulder height regularly.
• Availability for a flexible, full‑time schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Capability to safely operate power equipment such as slicers, walk‑ie lifts, and forklifts where applicable.
• Minimum age 18 years (required).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Successful completion of pre‑employment checks, including a drug screen and criminal background check.
