Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years old
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information
  • Meet state requirements to perform the functions related to this position
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous comparable experience
  • Equivalent experience as a pharmacy clerk
  • Familiarity with EPRN
Responsibilities
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
  • Enforce food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations and guidelines according to company, local, state, and federal health codes.
  • Manage ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers.
  • Follow company guidelines on computerized inventory management and ordering of medications, devices, supplements, and supplies.
  • Maintain departmental standards by keeping workstations and customer waiting areas clean and organized.
  • Count, measure, and prepare products using company best practices.
  • Complete billing procedures accurately to ensure best value to the customer and company.
  • Answer phone calls, triage inquiries, and provide appropriate responses.
  • Adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons, managing cash shortages, and company shrink guidelines.
  • Operate the cash register and follow cashier handling policies to prevent loss, including tendering electronic fund transactions (credit/debit cards, EBT, gift cards, cash, and checks).
  • Deliver a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
  • Assist the pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring a pharmacist’s professional judgment.
  • Understand and follow HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding privacy.
  • Support company health and wellness initiatives.
  • Put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries.
  • Work cooperatively in a high‑paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Manage conflicts in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
  • Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
