Checkout Associate: Fast, Customer Service

Role summary

Front End Checkout associates run our registers. They smile, greet and thank customers, ring up items, process payments, and keep a positive attitude. They maintain a clean checkout area, assist other associates as needed, and provide excellent customer service. For complete job duties and requirements, see the Job Description.

You play a major role in how customers feel when they leave the store. You may be the first, last, or only associate a customer interacts with, so it is important to smile, greet, and thank every customer. The pace can be intense, especially in the evenings, weekends, and holiday seasons. You will juggle several tasks simultaneously—scan items, explain prices, bag items properly, count cash back, and keep your area clean.

You should be positive, able to multitask, and passionate about customer service.

• Gather carts from the parking lot
• Operate equipment to move carts from the parking lot to inside the store
• Clean restrooms, sales floor, and parking lot as needed
