Shift: 2nd Shift on a 2-2-3 schedule from 7:00PM – 7:00AM
Compensation:
Up to $37 an hour (DOE)
We’re looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician in Lafayette, IN with strong experience in electrical systems, industrial automation, and troubleshooting. Work with advanced equipment and cutting‑edge technology while supporting plant up time on a consistent, structured schedule.
What You’ll Do- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose and repair industrial automation equipment, including PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs (Allen Bradley preferred)
- Work with voltages up to 480
VAC, 120AC, and 24
VDC - Install and assemble electrical circuits, control panels, and related components
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime
- Support equipment startups, shutdowns, and process improvements
- Maintain accurate maintenance and performance records
- Assist operators with safe equipment operation and procedures
- Train and support maintenance team members as needed
- 3–5 years of experience in electrical/electronic maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship in a related field
- Hands‑on experience with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and industrial control systems
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
- Experience using diagnostic tools (multimeter, megger, infrared scanner, etc.)
- Comfortable working at heights and in a manufacturing environment
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills
