Overhead Door Service Technician

Join our dynamic team as an Overhead Door Service Technician, where you will engage in hands-on installation, service, and repair of overhead door systems and electric garage door openers. Your role involves traveling to customer sites, ensuring professional communication, and assessing door systems for necessary installation or repair work.

• Perform installation and service of overhead doors and electric garage door openers.
• Travel to customer sites and communicate professionally with customers.
• Assess and evaluate door systems for installation or repair needs.
• Set and install overhead doors, calibrate and adjust electric openers.
• Verify system operations post-installation.
• Conduct basic wiring and connect systems to sensors and motors.
• Fabricate custom doors or parts using welding, shaping, and fastening tools.

• Mechanically inclined with experience in mechanical, electrical, and construction fields.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with inspection, wiring, and installation tasks.

• Openness to entry-level candidates with a great attitude and willingness to learn.
• Prior experience is advantageous for higher pay.

You will begin your day at the company's shop, traveling in company trucks with senior technicians to job sites across the Lafayette and surrounding areas. Work hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:00/4:30 PM, with a 30-60 minute unpaid lunch break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lafayette, IN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
