Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, electronic, mechanical, and control systems in an industrial manufacturing environment. You will work on a wide range of equipment, from older machinery to modern automated systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation while minimizing production downtime.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems operating at 120
  
  VAC, 480
  
  VAC, and 24
  
  VDC in an industrial manufacturing setting.
• Diagnose and repair industrial electrical and electronic equipment, including sensors, relays, contractors, and other control devices.
• Troubleshoot, install, and repair industrial motors, motor starters, and motor control circuits to ensure reliable operation.
• Assemble, wire, modify, and troubleshoot electrical control cabinets and control panels.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation to support accurate repairs and installations.
• Diagnose and resolve both electrical and mechanical failures on production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and maintain Allen-Bradley PLC systems and related control hardware.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) to optimize equipment performance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with PLCs, including Allen-Bradley platforms.
• Hands-on experience with VFDs and HMI systems.
• Experience running and installing conduit in an industrial environment.

Work Environment

This role is based in an industrial manufacturing environment. The position follows a 2-2-3 rotation, where you work 2 days, have 2 days off, then work 3 days on an alternating pattern. Having every other weekend as a three-day weekend is a big plus. You will regularly work around electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and production machinery, following all applicable safety procedures and guidelines.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lafayette, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
