Position Description
Immediately hiring a permanent full‑time Warehouse Material Handler to support our facility at Ryder in Lafayette, Indiana.
- $18.00 an hour
- Products handled: frozen and perishable foods
- Equipment: ability to learn/operate powered industrial equipment, such as stand‑up and sit‑down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc.
- Warehouse positions pay each week

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
- Valid forklift operator’s license certified
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Highly thorough and dependable
- Must be punctual with a good attendance record
- Performs work independently with minimal supervision

- Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs

- Flexible schedule, multiple shifts
- Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up
- Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
- Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
- Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tee induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks
- Handle day‑to‑day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
- Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hours of production
- Perform other duties as assigned
