Payroll Accountant

The Accountant will ensure accurate and timely payment of employee compensation, manage payroll systems, and maintain compliance with payrolls laws and regulations. The Accountant is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations and maintaining accurate financial records and support month-end close. The Accountant will be a champion and leader of our company's core values while maintaining internal and external customer engagement and satisfaction.

Some responsibilities include:

• Collecting and reviewing employee hours and issuing paychecks on schedule.
• Ensuring adherence to payroll, wage, and hour laws.
• Preparing and maintaining account reconciliations and researching variances.
• Extracting and organizing general ledger data for reporting and analysis.
• Assisting with preparation of routine financial reports and schedules; identifying and escalating reporting inconsistencies.
• Supporting continuous improvement efforts by documenting processes and suggesting workflow efficiencies.

• Payroll processing experience is required.
• Proficiency in Excel is required.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a major in Accounting is preferred.
