The Accountant will ensure accurate and timely payment of employee compensation, manage payroll systems, and maintain compliance with payrolls laws and regulations. The Accountant is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations and maintaining accurate financial records and support month-end close. The Accountant will be a champion and leader of our company's core values while maintaining internal and external customer engagement and satisfaction.
Some responsibilities include:
- Collecting and reviewing employee hours and issuing paychecks on schedule.
- Ensuring adherence to payroll, wage, and hour laws.
- Preparing and maintaining account reconciliations and researching variances.
- Extracting and organizing general ledger data for reporting and analysis.
- Assisting with preparation of routine financial reports and schedules; identifying and escalating reporting inconsistencies.
- Supporting continuous improvement efforts by documenting processes and suggesting workflow efficiencies.
- Payroll processing experience is required.
- Proficiency in Excel is required.
- Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a major in Accounting is preferred.
