Job OverviewThis mid-sized company is seeking an experienced Full-charge Bookkeeper to manage all financial record-keeping. This role handles everything from daily transactions (AP/AR, payroll) to producing month/year-end financial statements, combining basic bookkeeping with advanced accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Transaction Management:
Data entry, accounts payable (bills), and accounts receivable (invoices). - Reconciliation:
Reconciling bank, credit card, and loan accounts. - Payroll & Taxes:
Processing payroll and deductions using the Paychex system. Managing employee onboarding and offboarding paperwork to ensure all documentation is complete and submitted. - Financial Reporting:
Preparing balance sheets, income statements (P&L), and cash flow statements. - Month/Year-End Close:
Closing books, preparing for audits, and handling year-end filings.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Full-charge Bookkeeper.
- Proficient in accounting principles and understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and journal entries.
- Experience with accounting software, preferably Sage 50.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, graphs, and charts.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for problem-solving and data-driven reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain reliable attendance.
- Strong skills in accounts payable/receivable management and payroll processing.
- Effective communication skills for financial report writing and collaboration with team members.
