Now hiring Senior Accountant – Direct Hire
Location: Lafayette, LA
Salary: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
Schedule:1st Shift

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • CPA certification or CPA-track candidate preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and corporate accounting best practices.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including senior accountant-level responsibilities.
  • Proven expertise in fixed asset accounting, capital asset management, depreciation, and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Experience with ERP systems, financial reporting, month-end close, and audit support.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, data analysis, and account reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, solve complex accounting issues, and drive process improvements.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to remain stationary and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of a keyboard, mouse, and other office technology.
  • Ability to review financial reports, spreadsheets, and accounting records with a high level of accuracy.
  • Occasionally move and transport files, records, or office materials up to 15 pounds.
Job Duties
  • Manage all aspects of fixed asset accounting, including asset capitalization, transfers, disposals, depreciation, and asset tracking.
  • Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger, ensuring accurate financial records.
  • Review and classify capital expenditures in compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Assist with financial statement preparation, variance analysis, budgeting, and capital expenditure reporting.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and financial data.
  • Conduct fixed asset inventory reviews and help maintain effective asset management controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen financial reporting accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams while demonstrating strong ownership, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
