Position Summary

The Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the revenue cycle process for Medi Trans, LLC, ensuring timely and accurate billing, collections, payment posting, reconciliation, and revenue reporting. This position works closely with internal departments, Louisiana Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), providers, and finance personnel to maximize revenue, minimize denials, and ensure compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Revenue Cycle Management

  • Oversee the complete revenue cycle process from trip completion through payment collection.
  • Monitor and improve billing, collections, accounts receivable, and reimbursement processes.
  • Ensure timely submission of invoices and claims to Medicaid Managed Care Organizations and other payors.
  • Review payment trends and identify opportunities to increase revenue and reduce revenue leakage.
  • Manage aging reports and implement strategies to reduce outstanding receivables.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare and analyze monthly revenue cycle reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitor denial rates, collection percentages, days in accounts receivable, and reimbursement trends.
  • Reconcile payments received against invoices submitted.
  • Assist leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and revenue projections.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with Louisiana Medicaid regulations, contractual requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and audit-ready records.
  • Collaborate with Compliance and Quality Assurance departments regarding billing accuracy and revenue integrity.
  • Identify and address billing discrepancies, over payments, and underpayments.
  • Supervise revenue cycle staff and provide coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures.
  • Foster collaboration between Finance, Operations, Provider Network, Dispatch, and Compliance departments.

Process Improvement

  • Evaluate current workflows and recommend process improvements.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify trends, operational inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation.
  • Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and revenue cycle optimization projects.

Qualifications Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of revenue cycle management experience.
  • Experience in healthcare, Medicaid, managed care, transportation brokerage, or related field preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or management experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of billing, accounts receivable, collections, and revenue management.
  • Knowledge of Louisiana Medicaid and Managed Care Organization processes preferred.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily office-based environment.
  • Occasional overtime may be required to meet reporting deadlines and operational needs.
