Environmental, Operations and Construction (EOC) operates within HDR’s Federal Business Group, delivering services across all HDR business groups at any location. EOC delivers quality engineering, environmental, and construction management services at competitive prices.
Senior Construction Inspector – Responsibilities- Demonstrate familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods and processes for buildings and facilities
- Conduct inspection of electrical, mechanical/HVAC, structural and site civil
- Mentor junior field staff and provide supervision as needed
- Collaborate with other field representatives or Project Managers
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents
- Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses
- Serve as the most senior inspector on projects as needed
- Perform other duties as needed
- Technical school or Associate’s degree
- Relevant industry certifications
- Ability to interpret construction schedules
- Experience with Department of War facilities and construction contracts
- High school diploma or equivalent (Candidates with 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute experience for a high school diploma)
- Minimum of 5 years experience
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must
- Knowledge of HDR's Drug and Alcohol Policy; successful drug screening may be required prior to hire and thereafter, based on client requirements and applicable laws
- Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position
