A well-established steel erector is on the lookout for a talented Structural Steel Project Manager to take charge of commercial steel projects from their inception to successful completion. As a Project Manager, your role will encompass overseeing planning, scheduling, costs, subcontractors, and on-site coordination. You will work closely with clients, engineers, and fabrication partners, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities:- Lead structural steel projects from contract award to close-out
- Maintain strict schedules, budgets, and thorough cost reports
- Collaborate with field leaders, engineers, and fabrication shops
- Facilitate project meetings and ensure consistent client communication
- Review and assess drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Monitor project progress, site logistics, safety protocols, and quality standards
- Engage with vendors and subcontractors, reviewing pricing and contracts
- Assist in project close-out processes and documentation completion
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing structural steel projects
- Strong comprehension of steel erection and fabrication processes
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Proficiency in scheduling, cost control, and change management
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities
- Proficient in utilizing construction and project management software
Skills:
- Experience with commercial and industrial steel construction
- Familiarity with AISC standards
- Background working with a steel erector or fabricator
- $90,000 - $120,000 DOE + bonus potential
