Duties and ResponsibilitiesTeaching and Direct Instructional Activities (65 – 75% of Activity, 25 – 30 hrs. wk.)
- Preparation of Course Materials
- Course Presentation
- Student Performance Evaluation
Service to Students, Department, Division or College (20 – 30% of Activity, 10 – 15 hrs. wk.)
- Institutional Service
- Community Service
- Student Services
Research and Professional Development Activities (5 – 15% of Activity, 5 – 10 hrs. wk.)
- Developing/Maintaining Professional Relationships
- Continuing Education
- Publishing/Writing Activities
- Research Activities
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Dean, Vice Chancellor, or Chancellor.
Predictable and reliable attendance is required to provide consistency and continuity of educational and business services.
Other duties as assigned.
Required EducationMaster’s of Science in Physics/Physical Science or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Physics/Physical Science.
Preferred ExperienceExperience teaching Physics/Physical Science courses at the Community College level.
