Overview
Soccer Shots is hiring for Summer 2025. Soccer Shots - Lafayette is the leading children’s soccer program. We hire instructors who enjoy working with children, have soccer experience, and can teach our early learning curriculum to develop soccer skills, character, social and cognitive growth, physical development, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles in children aged 2-8. Sessions are designed to be the best 30–45 minutes of each child’s week.
Aboutthe role
We operate in early learning centers, daycares, preschools, schools, community centers, and parks. Classes are Monday through Friday, 30-45 minutes per session. We provide training, equipment, and all curriculum materials. This is a part-time position with opportunities to grow as Soccer Shots expands.
Requirements- Safety-conscious, prioritizing the safety of children.
- Caring, engages with each child through positive affirmation.
- Organized, plans ahead and follows the lesson plan while maintaining order for the age group.
- Responsible, committed to the instructor role and representing Soccer Shots.
- Energetic, creates a fun and engaging class environment.
- Prior experience working with children ages 2-8 (e.g., former teacher, daycare worker, tutor).
- Background check: must pass Louisiana Department of Education and Louisiana State Police checks and complete abuse prevention training.
- Instructing is part-time.
- Class sessions typically 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.–5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; most sessions are 2–3 classes in a row.
- Availability-based scheduling; you can work 2 or 3 days per week and we tailor the schedule to fit.
- Schedules are consistent: same time and location each week for a 16-week semester.
- Season schedules typically follow school district calendars.
- Lead groups of 8-10 children for 25–40 minutes per class.
- Arrive on time and attend all scheduled classes.
- Utilize the provided curriculum designed by education specialists.
- Keep accurate attendance and complete after-session reports.
