Training and Education Specialist – Robotic Assisted Surgery (RAS)

Deliver RAS training to surgeons, first assistants, and OR staff across multiple specialties. Actively improve training programs, support customer training and research initiatives.

• Deliver training courses to Health Care Professionals at designated partner facilities.
• Establish and maintain relationships with external training entities in targeted geographies.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales training teams to enhance existing training programs.
• Support RAS system troubleshooting at the training center.
• Manage training center logistics, inventory, and training calendars in coordination with stakeholders.
• Maintain capital equipment, including cleaning and reprocessing of instruments and accessories.
• Travel out of state up to 75% to support training.
• Plan, develop, and coordinate in‑house product training programs for field support personnel and customers.
• Prepare training materials, develop course content, determine methodology, and coordinate training aids.
• Ensure training programs meet company and customer objectives and maintain communication with customers for effectiveness.
• Continuously revise lesson plans to meet new training requirements and keep technical information up to date.

• High school diploma + 6+ years relevant clinical training, medical device sales, or clinical education experience; OR Associate’s degree + 4+ years; ORBaccalaureate degree + 2+ years.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s in Clinical or Health Sciences, Nursing, Healthcare Management.
• Strong clinical background with ties to training healthcare professionals.
• Experience in robotic surgery, capital equipment, or comparable advanced medical technology.
• Proven experience training on complex clinical topics or technology.
• Problem‑solving skills, ability to learn quickly in fast‑paced environments.
• Excellent organizational and collaborative skills.
• Solid understanding of surgical anatomy, OR workflows, and operating room protocol.
• Exceptional presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and effective training methodologies.
• High emotional intelligence, professional, solutions‑oriented style.
• Commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
• Process‑driven with strong attention to detail and safety‑focused.

Salary range $68,000–$102,000 USD (U.S. locations, excluding Puerto Rico). Eligible for short‑term incentive Medtronic Incentive Plan.
