Senior Instructional Designer – Medtronic

Join our Global Learning & Leadership Development team to design and develop innovative curricula, courses, and performance support resources for leadership development. This role supports the growth and development of our managers and leadership teams worldwide.

• Design and develop scalable leadership curricula for over 10,000 leaders, ensuring alignment with the Leadership Essentials model:
  Care, Inspire, Deliver.
• Incorporate current leadership development research and best practices into learning solutions.
• Apply evidence‑based adult learning theories to transform leadership behaviors.
• Create and maintain engaging multi‑modal learning experiences (workshops, virtual training, job aids, simulations, case studies, etc.).
• Design performance‑based learning tools such as coaching guides, on‑the‑job assignments, action learning projects, and peer learning experiences.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering on time while maintaining high standards of instructional design and learner impact.
• Use advanced design tools including Microsoft 365, Canva, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, and other digital authoring tools.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to translate complex content into clear learning materials.
• Ensure course materials align with Medtronic's brand guidelines.
• Facilitate train‑the‑trainer sessions for facilitators, managers, and coaches.
• Leverage learner feedback, engagement metrics, and business performance data to refine learning solutions.
• Design programs that scale and adapt across geographies, cultures, and leadership levels.
• Integrate industry trends, emerging technologies, AI to enrich learning content.

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years (or master’s with 2+ years) of instructional design experience in enterprise leadership development programs.
• Working knowledge of leadership development research, theories, and business application.
• Experience applying adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, multimedia in learning.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, and Canva.
• Strong project‑management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with AI‑driven technologies is a plus.

• Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or related field.
• Experience with curriculum mapping and course design.
• Visual and interactive design experience.
• Continuous learning and innovation mindset.

Salary range (US excluding Puerto Rico): $84,800 – $127,200 per year. Eligible for the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
