Electrical Engineering Manager – Industrial & Power

Key Responsibilities
  • Practice, People, and TDM Leadership: Provide national leadership for the electrical engineering discipline, serve as Technical Discipline Manager (TDM) for the Industrial & Power practice, oversee and support Regional Technical Leads (RTLs) and electrical engineering teams nationwide, establish and maintain discipline standards, designs, tools, and best practices across regions, lead, mentor, and develop engineering leaders and staff, foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, technical excellence, safety, and quality;

    drive growth of the electrical group through strategic hiring, capability development, and resource planning.
  • Technical Oversight, Authority, and Quality: Serve as senior technical authority for industrial electrical systems including medium- and high-voltage power distribution, substations, switchyards, protection & control, industrial and utility infrastructure; provide oversight, review, and approval of complex designs, studies, calculations, specifications, deliverables; ensure consistency and quality across EPC, EPCM, design-only projects; act as escalation point for technical issues and risk; ensure compliance with codes, regulations, client standards;

    lead or support QA/QC reviews and CI initiatives.
  • Project Delivery and Client Engagement: Support delivery of large, complex industrial and power projects; collaborate with PMs to meet scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality; provide technical leadership on projects such as power plant conversions, substations, utility & infrastructure; engage clients to understand technical needs and strengthen relationships; support proposal development (technical approach, staffing plans, schedules, cost estimates).
  • Strategy, Growth, and Industry Presence: Contribute to national electrical strategy (services, tools, staffing, market alignment); support business development and strategic pursuits; represent firm at conferences, client meetings, forums; support development of internal guidance, white papers, lessons learned, discipline standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related discipline;
    Professional Engineering (PE) license; 15 years of related experience (or equivalent additional experience in lieu of a degree).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Proven experience leading and managing electrical engineering teams (senior or regional); experience as TDM or equivalent authority; experience overseeing Industrial EPC and EPCM projects; substation experience (industrial & utility); understanding of FEL/FEED deliveries; design-build and progressive design-build delivery methods; strong organizational & leadership skills; ability to obtain licensure in multiple states; experience developing estimates, budgeting, scheduling.
  • Skills & Abilities: Excellent verbal & written communication; deep knowledge of electrical engineering principles & design practices; mastery of regulations; expertise with engineering design tools (power system studies); familiarity with CADD 3D/4D software; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Other: Domestic and/or international travel may be required; 20% travel. Visa sponsorship not available.
Benefits & Compensation
  • Pay Range: $134,264 – $248,394 (US Dollars).
  • Additional compensation may include discretionary bonuses.
  • Hybrid work options may be considered.
