In the role of Coastal Coordinator/EI, we'll count on you to contribute to water resource projects by applying design engineering and modeling techniques under project engineers. This includes focus on hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection and presentation, as well as supporting flood control, river design, and related restoration projects.
Responsibilities- Work under project engineers on the application of design engineering and modeling techniques for water resource projects for federal, state, and local municipalities
- Focus on hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentations
- Contribute to projects including flood control, river design, stream grade control structures, dike systems, levees, stream channel restoration/rehabilitation, wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues and non-point source loading and point source design
- Produce design calculations, draft technical reports, and perform water resources studies
- Perform other duties as needed
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
- Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of tasks
