Company profile Blue Fin, a GATE Energy Company, is a leading independent service company with a suite of project execution niches and specialty equipment, covering a full range of pipeline and process, mechanical, chemical, and fluid flushing and filtration services. Our clients range from Operators to General Contractors in the upstream, midstream, and downstream market sectors of the energy industry. This position is based in Lafayette, LA.
Job Summary The Blue Fin Intern Program exposes engineering undergraduates to projects spanning wide array of engineering disciplines critical to the energy industry. Each intern is expected to provide specialized engineering support particularly focused in the areas Filtration, eelReel®, Flow Assurance, Hydrostatic Testing, Fluid Handling, Equipment Identification, Project Management Support, Drafting, and Hands-On Field Experience. Our interns work in the field, the shop, and in the office environments to obtain experience at all levels that make up Blue Fin.
Time in the internship is broken up into three areas, which are:
Throughout the internship program, each intern will research a project-related topic and, upon completion of the program, present their findings to Blue Fin employees.
Education and Experience Currently enrolled in an Engineering Program Graduating December 2027 or later Previous internships and extracurricular activities strongly preferred. Blue Fin is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
