• 5+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state payroll processing
• Strong understanding of state-specific withholding laws and compliance requirements
• Experience with payroll systems and accounting software
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Excel
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• High level of integrity and confidentiality
• Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees across multiple states
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
• Oversee proper state income tax withholding, unemployment taxes, and reciprocal agreements
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations and tax changes
• Coordinate payroll tax filings and ensure timely remittance of payroll taxes
• Manage payroll audits and respond to tax notices
• Oversee year-end processes, including W-2s and other required filings
• Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee information

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts
• Support bank reconciliations and journal entries
• Assist with financial reporting and audit preparation
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy
