This position functions autonomously to deliver physical therapy treatment, either through referral or direct to consumer. The role evaluates patients, develops treatment plans, assesses patients, and monitors progress toward treatment goals. The PT ensures patient needs are met through access to care, patient experience and quality of care metrics and assists in program development to meet patient and community needs.

Schedule: PRN M-F days

: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
Work Experience: None
Certifications: Current physical therapy license in the state of practice OR eligibility for licensure by examination OR reciprocity from another state
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
• Excellent judgment and decision-making skills in order to deal with a variety of patients and diagnoses.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain flexible with fluctuating schedules based on patient demand.

• Perform evaluations and provide treatment programs to facilitate patient specific goals.
• Assess the patient’s response to treatment and recommend treatment plan changes as appropriate.
• Maintain patient records according to documentation standards, policies, and procedures.
• Attain established productivity levels set forth by administration, including but not limited to access to care, patient experience and quality.
• Assist in program development and enhancement to meet patient and community needs.
• Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
