Position: Patient Coordinator (Sleep Therapy)

This position requires the overall clinical, technical, and administrative functions related to the PAP Therapy program at the specified location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Contact patients to schedule setup of equipment (CPAP, AutoPAP, BiPAP) and explain the clinical benefits of PAP therapy and dangers of sleep apnea.
  • Maintain clinical contact with physicians, referred contacts, health care practitioners, and others involved in the care of patients referred to Sleep Management, LLC d/b/a Vie Med for home respiratory therapy services.
  • Maintain records, charting, progress notes, clinical files, equipment records, and preventative maintenance records.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all Sleep Management/Vie Med assets and supplies.
  • Ensure all pertinent demographic information is updated regularly and with any change in personal or professional status.
  • Orient and train subordinate or newly hired respiratory therapist staff and service technicians.
  • Exhibit effective written and verbal communication skills and adhere to cost‑containment policies and procedures.
  • Work with office staff to ensure prompt and accurate billing and documentation of services, providing adequate information to satisfy third‑party payor guidelines for coverage.
  • Collaborate with all clinical, managerial, and sales staff to promote and market home respiratory therapy services to all referral sources.
  • Provide availability for patient contact and response to patient needs.
  • Work with team members (other RTs, PCCs, and various departments) to ensure tasks are completed.
  • Perform other duties/projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required.
  • 1‑3 years of administrative and clinical experience in an office setting preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact knowledgeably with patients, physicians, and other stakeholders.
