Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of medical insurance types (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid)
• Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes, HCFA 1500, UB04 claim forms, HIPAA, and billing/insurance regulations
• Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of the patient database and billing systems
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance benefits
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience required
• Medical office or patient accounts experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and accuracy
• Professional written and verbal communication skills

• Answer inbound calls and emails for the Billing Office and respond to patient account inquiries
• Review and explain patient billing statements, insurance coverage, and account details
• Process payments, refunds, account adjustments, and generate statements
• Establish payment plans and collect outstanding balances
• Review and process financial hardship applications, including verifying required income documentation
• Escalate unresolved complaints to the Supervisor, Manager, or Revenue Cycle leadership as appropriate
• Maintain accurate documentation within the patient billing system
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and internal teams to resolve account concerns
• Complete additional projects and duties as assigned
