Manager – Imaging Services

We are seeking a proactive, engaged, and collaborative imaging services leader to oversee the full scope of radiology operations at IU Health Arnett Hospital and its surrounding outpatient clinics
. This role provides day‑to‑day operational leadership for imaging services teams, ensures high‑quality patient care, and partners cross‑functionally with physicians, nurses, technologists, and clinical support teams to strengthen service delivery and operational performance.

The ideal candidate brings strong imaging experience, supervisor‑level leadership exposure, and a go‑getter mentality with the ability to anticipate needs, remove barriers, and support teams across multiple locations.

The Scope

The Manager – Imaging Services will lead operations for the entire radiology scope at IU Health Arnett
, including hospital‑based and outpatient clinics. This role ensures teams have the resources, support, and oversight needed to provide safe, timely, and high‑quality imaging care. The manager also serves as a liaison between imaging services, physicians, nursing, and other departments escalating and resolving operational barriers, supporting regulatory readiness, and championing continuous improvement.

This role takes on larger‑scale issues and responsibilities to relieve supervisors of escalated or complex operational challenges
, supporting high performance across all imaging modalities.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates for this position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.

Required Certifications & Education
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred. May be required.
  • Requires active status through one of the following, depending on modality:
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiology Technology)
    • ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers)
    • NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board)
    • ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists)
    • CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International)
  • May require license from Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH), if applicable.
  • May require additional certifications depending on department needs.
  • Requires 5–7 years of experience in Imaging Services, cardiovascular testing, or related experience in a healthcare institution.
  • 3–5 years leadership experience required.
  • Requires knowledge of state and federal laws relative to assigned area.
Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Operations Management:
    Plan, direct, and coordinate daily imaging services operations across Arnett Hospital and associated clinics, ensuring smooth workflow, staff coverage, and patient care coordination.
  • Team Leadership:
    Lead, support, and mentor imaging staff including three RNs and multiple modality teams, providing guidance, accountability, and performance coaching.
  • Resource & Workflow Support:
    Ensure all imaging teams have the tools, equipment, supplies, and support required to perform their roles effectively across all locations.
  • Escalation & Issue Resolution:
    Take on higher‑level or complex operational issues to lighten the load for supervisors; proactively identify problems and implement timely solutions.
  • Cross‑Functional

    Collaboration:

    Partner with physicians, nurses, clinical departments, and operational teams to improve service coordination, patient experience, and communication.
  • Quality & Regulatory Oversight:
    Oversee quality assurance activities, imaging performance standards, competency expectations, and compliance with all regulatory requirements (state, federal, ISDH, accreditation).
