This is a part time position with the potential for becoming full time position, on-site Medical Assistant role located in the Lafayette, Louisiana Metropolitan Area. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for administering injections, obtaining vital signs, collecting copay, verifying insurance, reviewing PMP Aware for clients, managing patient records and secretarial duties. The role will also involve addressing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards.

• Clinical skills, including patient care, vital signs monitoring, and administering injections.
• Administrative skills, such as managing medical records, scheduling appointments, prior authorization for medication approval and coordinating with healthcare providers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with the medical team.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations, confidentiality practices, and medical terminology.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and healthcare management software.
• CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) qualification or equivalent certification is preferred but not required initially.
• Prior experience in a medical or clinical setting is an advantage.
• Professional, detail-oriented, and compassionate attitude toward patient care.
