Position Description
Be a part of a strategic opportunity positioning CGI for future work at the IRS. This is a one-year contract as a sub to a small business who used to be the prime on this work before the contract was cancelled by government. We are looking for team members who will make a great impression and develop trusted relationships with the client as we seek to get to know IRS stakeholders and expand our footprint at the important organization.
This position can be located at any CGI office in the U.S, preferred location is Lafayette, Louisiana; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Due to government restrictions, US Citizenship is required.
Your future duties and responsibilitiesThe main objective is to provide the IRS with knowledgeable subject matter experts to execute NIST, FISMA, Office of Management and Budget (OMB), FedRAMP, Treasury, and Internal Revenue Manual (IRM) technical Security Controls Assessments and Risk Analyses on information systems deploying to or are already deployed, which would result in all vulnerabilities and risks being identified.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role5 to 8 years of progressively responsible experience in information security, cyber risk management, or IT security operations.
Must include at least 3 years of hands‑on experience in system security analysis, vulnerability management, or incident response within a Federal Information Systems Security or equivalent enterprise environment.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Security+ CE certification required.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills requiredHigher-level certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CAP) preferred and may substitute for additional years of experience.

To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role.
