CGI is seeking a high‑potential Senior SAP S/4
HANA Functional Consultant with experience in SAP ECC or S/4
HANA. The successful candidate will work closely with our clients to lead workshops, understand their requirements, design and present solutions, configure SAP, and support full software lifecycle implementations for the federal government. The primary focus is on design, configuration, and testing in SAP S/4
HANA Public Sector, with the experience and/or desire to grow and mentor an agile team focused on business process areas associated with SAP modules. This role requires a strong understanding of SAP Federal Financial Accounting processes and solutions.
This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA;
Lebanon, VA;
Lafayette, LA; or Knoxville, TN. A hybrid working model is acceptable, however the candidate will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.
- Facilitate the implementation of requirements, design solutions, and configure SAP Financials for the public sector to enhance client business functionality and overall performance while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate workshops to review business requirements and translate them into system requirements, with the ability to identify gaps, issues, and work‑around solutions across financial management, procurement, and asset management functions.
- Act as a liaison with the client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and resolve software problems; map client business requirements, processes, and objectives; and develop necessary product modifications to meet client needs.
- Design, configure, and test FI, CO, FM, SD, MM, and AA modules.
- Serve as a primary resource for the successful implementation of SAP S/4
HANA, providing functional expertise, guidance, presentations, and instruction on SAP products to clients.
- U.S. citizenship and successful completion of a CGI background check are required prior to beginning work. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of SAP consulting experience in finance, procurement, or assets.
- Experience with financial management best practices, including demos, test scripts, and functional/technical design documents.
- Experience in configuration and implementation of FI, CO, FM, SD, MM, or AA modules.
- Knowledge of key integration points between SAP modules.
- Excellent interpersonal skills in teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that builds rapport and supports understanding among both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience using SAP Activate methodology.
- Experience with SAP S/4
HANA. - Experience with SAP ECC.
- Experience with end‑to‑end SAP implementations.
- Certification in SAP S/4
HANA. - Experience integrating with SAP application areas such as Finance (FI), Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Funds Management (FM).
