CGI seeks a senior cost‑management subject‑matter expert with federal government experience. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to design, configure, and test SAP FI/CO cost‑management solutions as part of a full software‑lifecycle implementation. This role focuses on design, configuration, and testing in financial and cost management for the public sector, and may mentor an agile team within the SAP FI/CO modules.

This position is located in one of CGI Federal’s offices in Fairfax, VA;
Lebanon, VA;
Lafayette, LA; or Knoxville, TN; a hybrid working model is acceptable. The employee will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.

• Facilitate the implementation of requirements, design solutions, and configure SAP Cost Management for the public sector to enhance client business functionality and overall performance while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.
• Facilitate workshops to review business requirements and translate them into system requirements and cost‑management functions.
• Act as a liaison with the client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and resolve software issues; map business requirements, processes, and objectives; and develop necessary product modifications to meet client needs.
• Perform design, configuration, and testing of the FI/CO modules in SAP S/4
  
  HANA to support teams dedicated to cost management.
• Create Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and support the creation of Technical Design Documents (TDDs) and To‑Be cost‑management process designs for SAP FI/CO solutions.
• Ensure successful implementation of cost‑management processes, providing federal financial accounting expertise, guidance, presentations, and instruction to clients.

• U.S. citizenship and successful completion of a CGI background check are required prior to the start of work; candidates must also be able to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.
• Minimum of 6 years of business consulting experience in cost management and federal financial accounting.
• Knowledge of financial management best practices, including demos, test scripts, and functional/technical design documents.
• Excellent interpersonal skills—teamwork, facilitation, negotiation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Experience integrating with SAP application areas such as Finance (FI), Cost Management (CO), Project Systems (PS), and Funds Management (FM).
• Knowledge of key integration points between SAP modules.
• Experience with end‑to‑end SAP implementations.
• Certification in SAP S/4
