Journeyman Information Security Analyst
Be a part of a strategic opportunity positioning CGI for future work at the IRS. This one‑year contract positions you as a subcontractor for a small business that previously served as the prime contractor until the contract was canceled by the government. We are looking for team members who will make a great impression and develop trusted relationships with the client while expanding our footprint at this important organization.
ResponsibilitiesThe main objective is to provide the IRS with knowledgeable subject‑matter experts to execute NIST, FISMA, Office of Management and Budget (OMB), FedRAMP, Treasury, and Internal Revenue Manual (IRM) technical security controls assessments and risk analyses on information systems that are deploying to or are already in production, thereby identifying all vulnerabilities and risks.
Required Qualifications- 5‑8 years of progressively responsible experience in information security, cyber risk management, or IT security operations.
- At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in system security analysis, vulnerability management, or incident response within a federal information systems security or equivalent enterprise environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Security+ CE certification required.
- U.S. citizenship required due to government restrictions.
- Higher‑level certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CAP) preferred and may substitute for additional years of experience.
CGI is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role: $71,700.00 – $.
