Power BI Developer

CGI is seeking Microsoft Power BI developer who can transform complex data into clear, actionable insights. This role blends technical skill, business understanding, and design sensibility. Dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions will be developed within a financial and budget ERP to help business owners under their data and augment their day-to-day work tasks.

Lafayette, LA (hybrid)

Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models that support business decision-making. Collaborate with business analysts to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver high-quality analytics solutions. Connect Power BI to Snowflake and other data sources; design efficient queries and ensure strong performance. Implement and enforce data governance, including dataset certification, documentation, and version control. Monitor and improve report performance, refresh reliability, and data accuracy.

Support self-service analytics by creating reusable datasets, templates, and documentation. Stay current with Power BI and Snowflake capabilities, recommending enhancements and best practices.

Minimum of 3 years of experience developing Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models. Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling best practices. Hands-on experience connecting Power BI to Snowflake, including writing performant SQL. Solid understanding of relational databases, ETL concepts, and data warehousing principles. Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions with clarity and precision. Experience working with large datasets and optimizing report performance.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally. Experience with Snowflake is highly preferred.
