IT Support Technician
Location: Lafayette, LA
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Job Duties- Provide first-level technical support for end users by resolving hardware, software, printer, and network issues
- Review, update, troubleshoot, and resolve IT support tickets in a timely manner
- Research unfamiliar technical issues and document solutions for the IT knowledge base
- Install, configure, and deploy computers, peripherals, and end-user software
- Create user accounts and onboard new employees in Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365
- Stage and prepare computers and equipment for deployment
- Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and technical solutions
- Provide onsite IT support in office and field environments
- Participate in an on-call support rotation and assist with after-hours technical issues when needed
- Perform additional IT support projects and responsibilities as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required
- Foundation in computer hardware, software, and network support
- Experience supporting Windows 11 and Mac OS environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills for computers, printers, software, and basic networking issues
- Familiarity with Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365 account management preferred
- Entry‑level IT certification or equivalent hands‑on experience preferred
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to research technical issues and document solutions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to participate in an on‑call rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed
- Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and protect confidential patient information (PHI)
