Legal Secretary

Description

Key Responsibilities:

+ Plaintiff litigation case file support and/or management.

+ Prepare settlement demands and manage settlement disbursements efficiently.

+ E-file documents in federal court and coordinate scheduling for depositions and mediations.

+ Maintain consistent communication and case progress, avoiding unnecessary delays.

+ Utilize Westlaw and legal technology to support case management and research.

+ Handle a high volume of personal injury and auto accident cases.

+ Draft complaints and pleadings based on action reports, demonstrating fast and accurate typing skills.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal in plaintiff-side civil litigation, personal injury, or auto accident law.

+ Ability to manage multiple files with urgency and minimal supervision.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills; skilled at client profile review and support.

+ Comfortable in a fast-paced, tech-enabled office environment (Westlaw experience preferred).

+ Proficient in federal e-filing procedures and legal calendaring.

+ Fast typing speed and a detail-oriented approach.
