Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership- Lead, plan, and direct work through supervisors to ensure products are produced safely, efficiently, and at the lowest possible cost while meeting quality and volume expectations.
- Promote teamwork and accountability by setting clear expectations, ensuring consistent communication, and supporting cross‑functional alignment. Recommend improvements to policies, procedures, equipment, and production planning to enhance departmental and company performance.
- Maintain strong inventory controls and minimize product loss.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies and all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Drive excellence by implementing process consistency and cross‑functional collaboration using Continuous Improvement methodologies to achieve measurable productivity gains and cost savings.
- Benchmark performance, set targets, and monitor results for production operations and personnel.
- Support the development of capital and operating budgets.
- Build and lead a high‑performing production team aligned with company vision and goals, and grounded in teamwork, accountability, and trust.
- Oversee staffing, selection, retention, and performance management for production employees.
- Provide coaching, resources, and guidance to support employee success and operational excellence.
- Foster strong, collaborative relationships with Supply Chain and other functional partners to meet safety, service, cost, and people goals.
- Champion a culture of safety and excellence by enforcing all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and food safety/quality requirements, including SQF standards.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment.
- Enforce all safety, security, and PPE requirements at all times.
- Understand customer demand, manufacturing capabilities, and storage constraints to support go‑to‑market strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct Production Management experience in food/beverage, consumer products, or manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies strongly preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build consensus and foster positive working relationships.
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively, challenge traditional approaches, and remove barriers to performance.
- Ability to analyze complex data and make sound business recommendations.
- Advanced knowledge of budgets, P&L, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing operations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels and cultures within the organization.
- Work performed in a wet environment with occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and nut allergens.
- Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, taste, and smell.
- Regularly lift/move up to 10 lbs; frequently up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Full range of motion required.
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet/humid conditions, and cold or extreme cold environments.
