Lab Technician

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician in Lafayette, LA to support daily laboratory operations. This role is ideal for individuals interested in laboratory work who are eager to learn and grow in a hands‑on environment. Training will be provided to operate analytical instruments and perform laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures.

• Prepare, label, handle, and store samples for laboratory testing and analysis.
• Perform routine laboratory tests in accordance with established methods and procedures.
• Receive hands‑on training to operate analytical laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Support the operation, basic maintenance, and calibration of laboratory instruments.
• Accurately record, review, and report test results, observations, and measurements.
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and test materials as directed.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and proper housekeeping standards.
• Follow quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) procedures.
• Assist senior laboratory staff with troubleshooting test methods and equipment issues.
• Monitor and help manage laboratory supplies, materials, and inventory.
• Comply with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Adhere to laboratory SOPs and documentation standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related science field (or recent graduate).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Safety‑focused and procedure‑driven.
• Detail‑oriented with a passion for precision and quality in laboratory analysis.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt in a dynamic, team‑driven environment.

• Schedule:
  
  Monday‑Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Travel:
  Primarily lab‑based, minimal travel anticipated
• Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 commensurate with experience
