Location: Lafayette, LA
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Shift: 6 AM - 3:30 PM | Monday-Friday | OT as needed

What You Need to Keep the Spindles Turning- Interpret and study blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions to understand product designs and fabrication requirements.
- Select appropriate materials based on project specifications, product requirements, and quality standards.
- Measure, mark, cut, drill, grind, and prepare materials to required dimensions using fabrication equipment and hand tools.
- Operate fabrication machinery and tools, including saws, grinders, drill presses, and other shop equipment, safely and efficiently.
- Assemble fabricated components and parts according to drawings and specifications, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and functionality.
- Inspect materials, components, and finished products to verify quality, accuracy, and compliance with customer and company standards.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and make necessary adjustments to ensure products meet dimensional and quality requirements.
- Maintain fabrication equipment, tools, and work areas to ensure proper operation, cleanliness, and organization.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and best practices while working with machinery, tools, and materials.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
- Collaborate with team members and other fabricators to meet production schedules, quality expectations, and customer requirements.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to resolve production issues and improve workflow efficiency.
- Maintain consistent productivity while meeting established production goals and deadlines.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work accurately with measurements and specifications.
- Ability to read measuring devices and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and move materials and fabricated components as required.
- Previous fabrication, manufacturing, assembly, or metalworking experience preferred.
