Vermilion Behavioral Health Systems is seeking a full‑time Night RN to provide professional nursing care to patients. The role involves working nights (7 pm–7:15 am) with rotating weekends. The position offers competitive pay and a sign‑on bonus of $12,000.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift/carry up to 100 pounds, push/pull up to 100 pounds, grasp, squeeze, bend, stoop, twist, crouch, squat, kneel, crawl, reach, repetitive arm/wrist/hand use, walk on uneven surfaces, stand, and walk to ensure safety of patients and staff.

7 pm to 7:15 am. All shifts rotate weekends. FT RN's work every other weekend and are eligible for shift differentials.
Essential Functions- Provide and coordinate care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs of patients, developing and implementing nursing care plans, maintaining medical records, and educating patients and families about various conditions.
- Provide nursing care within the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined by state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Ensure physician’s orders are legible, transcribed appropriately if taken verbally.
- Continuously assess patients’ status and document pertinent information.
- Collaborate with others to meet patients’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental, and cultural needs, and address complaints when needs are not met.
- Notify physician of significant changes in status such as difficulties with detox, medical emergencies, or changes in medication response.
- Ensure nursing treatment plans are specific to assessed needs and completed upon admission.
- Demonstrate knowledge of universal precautions when providing direct patient care.
- Accurately administer medications per ordered note and document controlled substance counts.
- Complete admission and discharge processes efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain therapeutic rapport with patients, respecting professional boundaries and personal space.
- Provide direction or coordinate unit activities as directed.
- Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, coworkers, and others in patient treatment.
