Nurse Practitioner

Requirements

• Must have an active driver’s license in Louisiana
• Willing to work in a community-based setting
• Board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist, a medical psychologist, or an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) with a specialty in adult mental health in Louisiana

We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Lafayette, LA. Earn: $96.15/hour.

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to determine medication needs
• Document patient assessments and interactions in the EHR
• Prescribe and manage pharmacologic treatments, including controlled substances
• Monitor patient progress and adjust medications as necessary
• Facilitate direct patient admissions to hospitals when appropriate
• Participate in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings to develop coordinated treatment plans
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, registered nurses, and other care team members
• Provide community-based services, including traveling to patient locations with team support
