Job PurposeThis role serves as a teacher, facilitator, and consultant who works collaboratively with nursing and organizational management to implement the educational goals of the company. The individual will assess the need for, plan, organize, implement, and evaluate education and training activities to ensure personnel acquire, maintain, or improve psychomotor, cognitive, and learning skills that continuously improve patient care outcomes and/or enhance processes and management systems.
Qualifications- Education
:
Bachelor's degree in nursing (required);
Master’s degree in nursing (preferred). - Work Experience
: 3 years of nursing experience (required). - Certifications
:
Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice (required);
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (required). - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web‑based applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work across organizational lines to meet objectives.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to routinely manage priorities and projects involving multiple constituencies.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in priorities.
- Ability to work in stressful situations, remaining objective and professional at all times.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule (e.g., 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability).
- Assess, design, present, and evaluate educational programs for clinical and non‑clinical staff based on identified needs and competencies.
- Actively participate in groups and professional associations.
- Function as a performance consultant.
- Coordinate training facilities and other resources.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Medium Work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently. Physical demands are in excess of those for sedentary work. The job may require lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving objects. The role does not involve routine exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, and there is no occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases.
However, there may be risk for exposure to hazardous medications or waste within the environment.
