CompensationWeekly base pay $612.0 - $648; stipends $1,246; hourly $17 – $18.
Location & ContractLafayette, LA 70503. Contract start: 8/03/2026. Duration: 13 weeks.
ShiftNight Shift, 12 hours/day, 3 days/week.
Responsibilities- Use the nursing process to deliver patient care.
- Assess learning needs and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
- Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources properly.
- Use data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
- Embrace concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale.
- Adapt communication and behavior to each patient’s cultural, ethnic, and religious background.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
- Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to the area of responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and standards related to nursing practice.
- Registered Nurse diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Current Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Certification in clinical specialty area preferred.
- Proficiency in computers, software, and web‑based applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and time‑management skills; self‑directed.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment.
Requires occasional lifting of 50–100 pounds, frequent lifting 25–50 pounds, and/or constant lifting 10–20 pounds; requires walking, standing, or moving objects regularly; exposure to blood, body fluids, and potential communicable diseases; potential exposure to hazardous medications and waste.
