LPN - OLG Internal Medicine Clinic-

Job Summary

Provides direct care—including IV therapy—of assigned patients within the framework of the Licensed Practical Nurse Act under the direction of a registered nurse. Directs and assists ancillary nursing staff and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team.

Monday‑Thursday: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

High‑school diploma or equivalent.

Required:

Current licensed practical nursing (LPN) license in the state of practice;
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred: IV therapy credentials.

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.

• Use the nursing process—data gathering, planning and evaluation—in delivering patient care.
• Provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria suitable for patient age.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families and co‑workers to ensure a quality experience.
• Adapt positively to rapid changes in unit or department needs.
• Manage professional development and maintain required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training and credentials.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Heavy work includes occasional lifting of 50–100 pounds, frequent lifting of 25–50 pounds, and constant lifting of 10–20 pounds. Exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, communicable diseases, hazardous medications and waste may occur.
