Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner – Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery – Lafayette, LA

• Licenses/Certs: LA medical license (or eligible), Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• Experience:
  
  Prior surgical or ICU experience preferred
• Pay Rate: $1.00/hour (price reflects placeholder; pay package discussed upon application)

• Conduct inpatient rounds for cardiovascular surgical patients
• Provide surgical consult support for cardiovascular procedures
• Cover emergency room calls as needed
• Assist with procedures including CABG, VATS, thoracotomies, lobectomies, aneurysm repairs, arterial bypasses, and valve replacements
• Collaborate with a team of 2 cardiovascular surgeons and 3 APPs
• Manage a case volume of approximately 15-20 postoperative patients per week
• Participate in clinic activities once weekly

Required:

• Valid medical license in Louisiana or eligible for licensing
• Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license
• Prior experience in surgical or critical care settings preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred:

• Experience with cardiovascular or thoracic procedures
• Strong clinical and surgical assessment skills
