Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time Lead APP opportunity in Lafayette, Louisiana.

This is a substantive clinical leadership position combining hands-on Emergency Medicine practice with administrative and operational oversight. The Lead NP/PA will support the APP team while partnering with physician and APP leadership on clinical performance, quality, operations and continued program development.

Clinical & Leadership Scope

Maintain an active Emergency Medicine practice while serving as a clinical and operational leader for the NP/PA team.

The Lead APP will:

• Support employed Emergency Medicine NPs and PAs
• Collaborate closely with physician and APP leadership
• Advance clinical quality and performance-improvement initiatives
• Facilitate communication between clinical teams and leadership
• Support credentialing, privileging, quality oversight and risk-management initiatives
• Participate in strategic and operational planning
• Contribute to documentation and performance initiatives, including CDI and clinical metrics
• Help ensure compliance with applicable NP/PA practice standards and facility requirements
• Support accreditation, certification and recognition efforts

Practice Environment

Join a substantial Emergency Medicine program managing approximately 67,000 patient visits annually across a 45-bed Emergency Department.

The established coverage model includes 54.43 physician hours and 55.14 NP/PA hours, creating a robust physician-and-APP practice environment supported by Epic.

The position also requires cross-credentialing at affiliated regional facilities, expanding the Lead APP's involvement across the broader Emergency Medicine program.

Candidate Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Emergency Medicine training/experience
• Active Louisiana license
• ATLS, ACLS, PALS, BLS
• Ability to combine active clinical practice with leadership and administrative responsibilities
