Position Overview
Join our team as a Part‑Time Veterinarian at All Creatures Veterinary Hospital. You will receive predictable hours and a continuous home hospital assignment, allowing you to maintain clinical engagement while balancing personal commitments. This role supports the hospital’s mission to‑provide high‑quality companion and exotic animal care in a local setting backed by national resources.

- Comprehensive patient exams and medical work‑ups
- Client communication and education
- Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Pharmacy duties, including prescribing medications and following controlled substance protocols
- Promote teamwork and staff efficiency
- Work with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations
- Evaluate and monitor protocols for the daily running of the hospital from intake to discharge
- Monitor cases in the hospital and attend daily rounds when possible to uphold highest standards
- Participate in practice management updates and training at all levels
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
- Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university
- Current State Veterinary License
- DEA registration must be obtained and maintained
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent surgical and dental skills
- Ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate and high‑quality veterinary care
- Client communication skills: ability to elicit information, establish rapport, and offer explanations to pet owners
- Display confidence and reassurance when handling stressed, ill, or painful pets
- Physical demand: capability to lift up to 50 pounds; may include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Clinical knowledge: thorough examinations, cardiovascular/respiratory/orthopedic/neurological assessments, and appropriate treatment prescriptions
- Problem‑solving: develop solutions for managing a high‑quality veterinary hospital
- Communication: effectively convey diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients and internal staff
- Professionalism: provide and receive constructive feedback within a professional team
- Business acumen: understand practice management and finances
- Ethics: knowledge of ethical principles guiding patient decisions
- Commitment to continuing education and facilitation of others’ learning
