Quality Control Inspector – Manufacturing

A confidential aerospace manufacturer is seeking a Production Quality Inspector to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance in advanced manufacturing operations. In this role, you will perform inspections on structural assemblies, components, and systems that support critical aerospace and defense programs.

This is an onsite position requiring U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status in alignment with federal contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-process and final inspections to verify products meet engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Validate assembly completion and support production teams with quality checks throughout the build process.
  • Identify defects in surfaces, fasteners, coatings, and systems; document and communicate corrective actions.
  • Compile inspection data, reports, and deviation records for Material Review Board review.
  • Monitor and manage non-conforming materials according to established procedures.
  • Support tooling validation, metrology, and standardized work practices.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required (Associate degree or technical training preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of quality inspection experience in structural or manufacturing environments, OR equivalent education.
  • Vantage Clear credential (or equivalent).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be physically able to perform inspections (standing, climbing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Quality inspection experience in aerospace, automotive, or defense manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of ISO/AS9100 standards and structured quality systems.
  • Familiarity with BACS and other industry specifications.
  • Proficiency with inspection tools, measuring devices, and computer-based reporting.
